My 100 things

I am female

I am married

Josh and I got married on the 4th of July

We are high school sweethearts that met in Science class
It was love at first sight
but it took about two years for us to get together
He is my best friend
I have three children
All three boys
I am the only female in my house
We have a Dachshund, Zacheus, he is a boy too…
I miscarried triplets in 2000
I never know that you could love someone you never saw (especially three people) until the day I lost my babies
I also lost three grandparents that same year
I have never been the same since
I still miss them everyday
I graduated high school at semester time my Sr. year
not because I was smart, but because I didn’t like study hall and had all of the credits I needed.
I went to a Vocational high school for 2 year
I took Administrative Secretarial Skills
I learned short hand
I couldn’t write one word in short hand today
I went to a one year collage where I got a diploma in Medical Assisting
I worked for 5 months as a Medical Assistant
I had Caleb, then quit
I have been a stay at home mommy ever since
well, I have worked a few part time jobs
I love to talk
I was call a Social Butterfly once by a teacher
I get Laryngitis at least once a year
but I still talk…lol!!!
I have a brother
I am 4 1/2 years older than him
the age difference and the fact that I am a girl and he is a boy really has seemed to not keep us very close
but I still love my baby brother
His wife and I are very close
She is my best “girl” friend
I was Matron of Honor in their wedding (a true honor)
She was in the room (& was a great support) while I was having Brayden
Well, until I had to have a C-section
I had Caleb in about 4 hours, with very little pain meds
after he was born I thought “not so bad”
I had Brayden after an inducement, hours of labor, tons a pain meds, 4 hours of pushing and an emergency C-section, after I had him I said “that was awful!!!”
I had Andrew via planned C-section
Both Caleb and Andrew were placed on a vent and taken to Toledo Hospital shortly after birth
That is one of the worst things I have ever been through
It really is hard to watch them take your sick baby away while you have to stay in the hospital
I had Caleb 4 weeks early, he had a PDA
I was discharged the next day and went straight to the hospital
I will never forget how I felt when I held him for the first time
Josh and I augured over who was going to hold him first… :o)
Andrew was three weeks early, he had wet lungs due to the C-section
I was discarded two days later (due to the C-section) and went straight to the hospital
I will never forget how I felt when I first held him, the wonderment didn’t wear off just because he was my third baby
and yes Josh and I still augured over who was going to hold him… :-)
I am glad that Brayden was healthy when he was born
I went through hell
but that is better then my baby having to
I was 7 months pregnant before I found out, with Caleb
At the time I worked for 2 OB doctors
no one could believe that I was 7 months along
I didn’t even look pregnant
I took 6 test before one came back positive
now that I have been pregnant 3 other times, even I don’t understand how I didn’t know…lol!!!
I guess Caleb just was meant to be a surprise
I have Hypothyroidism
They think it is pregnancy related
Each time I was pregnant it got worse
it took me to long to go to the Dr. to have it checked into
I am starting to feel better now that I am taking Meds for it
My mom and dad are great roll models in my life
they have been married for over 30 years
I hope Josh and I can say that in 20 years
I think we will…lol!!!
My dad has MS
It is very hard to watch him struggle with it
My mom is also a best friend of mine
She has had a huge influence on my Christian life
I am a Christian
I am glad Jesus died for my sins
and I know that I will one day see my triplets and grandparents once again thanks to that fact
Spring is my favorite season
I love everything starting new again
I also love fall
The trees changing amaze me
I don’t believe there is anything more beautiful then the mountains of West Va in the fall
Both sides of my family are from WV
But my parents meet here in Napoleon
I am the only granddaughter on my mom’s side
There are 4 boys and me
My Papaw always told everyone I was his favorite granddaughter
I am the oldest grandchild on my dad’s side
My Mamaw and Papaw Spurlock spoiled me until the day they died :-)
My Grandma Smith was a Spurlock before she married
But no my mom and dad are not related (as far as we can tell…LOL)
So therefore I have A LOT of Spurlock blood in me
but no extra fingers…lol!!!!
My favorite band is Poison, the singer is named Bret
We just about named Andrew, Bret.
But a lot of people laughed because they knew I liked Poison
I still like the name Bret, but Andrew fits him better
My back is starting to hurt from sitting and typing 100 things about me
I am glad that I am done with this…LOL!!!!

  • A Little About Me

ME I am a stay at home mom with three boys, and I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1997. I love my family, I love to cook, I love to take pictures and above all I love the Lord. My goal is to live by this scripture...'Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.' Matthew 5:16 Which, as a friend pointed out, we need daily reminders of this. Please come back and visit. And please leave a comment if you stop by, I would love to know you were here.

Save Babies From Premature Birth ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Two of our boys were preemies. Caleb and Andrew, both had NICU stays. Thank God they were both short stays and are healthy today. Many more babies and parents are not so lucky. ----------------------- Every day 1 in 8 babies born in the U.S. arrives too soon. Premature birth can happen to any pregnant woman, and no one knows why. It is a serious, common and costly problem. The March of Dimes is leading the campaign to reduce premature birth by supporting research and by educating the public and health care providers. --www.marchofdimes.com
