Have you ever wondered what it would be like to leave “the world” behind? Well, I have! For many years now I have enjoyed reading Amish Faction books. I love authors like Beverly Lewis, Wanda Brunstetter and just recently read a series from Cindy Woodsmall. I love reading about the Amish.
A few weeks ago I found a new Amish Fiction book, Plain Perfect, written by Beth Wiseman. (Yes, we have the same last name!) I felt lead to send her an e-mail, and I was thrilled when she responded to my request for a book, the chance to do a review and offer a giveaway to one lucky reader.
About Plain Perfect:
Lillian was in a bad relationship with her boyfriend and her mother. She is trying to find her way in the world by leaving all that she has ever known behind and going to stay with her Amish grandparents in Lancaster County. She soon finds that things can be complicated in this simple world as well, when she meets Amish widower Samuel Stolzfus and his eleven year old son, David. Will Lillian be able to leave the world behind to live the simple life?
I couldn’t wait to turn each page. I am now giving one of you the opportunity to leave “the world” behind while you get lost in the pages of this wonderful book. Beth Wiseman has kindly offered to send a SIGNED COPY OF PLAIN PERFECT to one of you!!!

Well, I must say that I loved the week I spent in Lancaster County several years ago and so did my daughter. What a beautiful place with such wonderful people. I would love a chance to read this book.
My favorite genre….I don’t really have one, I really enjoy historical fiction, a good story with lots of historical timelines, but I will read just about anything. I just finished The Memory Keepers Daughter, and the Twilight series before that.
Thanks so much for sharing

I live only 20 minutes from Lancaster County…this should be a fun read! I love books of all genres, but I think my favorite are fictions novels from the likes of authors such as Nicholas Sparks, etc. I also love Bible Study books and spiritual reflcetion books…Elizabeth George, Dannah Gresh, KAy Arthur…etc, etc.

I used to read tons of mysteries. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of nonfiction, especially books on Christian living. Currently reading Breakfast at Sally’s, which is very good.

My all-time favorite books are the romantic classics of Jane Austen. I read them over and over again. I also love what I call “clean mysteries” like Agatha Cristie.” But my Grandma loves the kind of books like the one you are giving away, and I would love to win it for her!

I have to say my favorite genre is self help. Everything I’ve read in the past 5 years has been some kind of self help or parenting book. This would be a nice break from that!
