Last night we made Christmas ornaments using a kit from Creativity for Kids Faber-Castell.  The kit is the Holiday Memories Ornament Frames.

I have had the opportunity to play with professionally review =} quite a few of the Creativity for Kids Faber-Castell products.  And I have LOVED them ALL!  As with all of the kits I have received the frame kit came with EVERYTHING need to make the craft project.  Just open the box and have fun.  I love how my boys can use their imagination.  There is no set way that the craft has to be completed.  They can truly be CREATIVE!

With 24 days left until Christmas the boys and I read A Wish to be a Christmas Tree by Colleen Monroe Illustrated by Michael Glenn Monroe.  This was a great story with beautiful pictures.

The book is written in flowing rhyme, and tells about an older tree that knows he has grown too big for any family to pick for their Christmas tree.  This makes him very sad.  The forest animals are all very thankful for what this tree gives to them year around and one night while he is sleeping they all decorate him and make him into a beautiful Christmas tree.

This is a wonderful story about giving, friendship and love.  A Wish to be a Christmas Tree would make a great addition to your families Christmas library.

The rest of the songs on the CD are just as wonderful.  I love that you can hear the acoustic guitar in so many of the songs and Jonny Diaz outstanding voice.  All of the songs are so uplifting!  I would highly recommend this CD.

I am going to use the top 5 format from Kristi this week again.  Since it was a long week-end we had A LOT going on.

1. Thursday Josh had the day off of work for his TEE (click her to read more about that.)  After his test Josh suggested that we go out to eat for our anniversary.  Since mom had the boys and we were in Toledo and all.  So, we went to Olive Garden and ate.  On the 4th we were married for 12 years.  What a wonderful 12 years it has been!

2.  Friday the boys finished up there 2 weeks of swim lessons.  I was able to take a few pictures on their last day.  Andrew stayed at home on Friday because it was only in the mid 60’s and he cries when the water is to cold so I didn’t get any pictures of him.

3. Saturday we had a cook-out at our house.  Mom and Dad & Glen and April came over to eat with us.  We had a great meal of hamburgers and hot dogs, salads, baked beans, water Mellon, chips and dip and Mom made peach and banana cream pie!  It is always nice to have my family over here.

4.  After the ALL-STAR GAME (click here to read about Caleb’s big game!)  we headed to the park to watch the fireworks.  We watched the boys play for a few hours while we waited.  I popped popcorn and brought them a surprise of Glow Sticks to play with.  We had a great time and the fireworks were AWESOME!

5.  Sunday after going to church, Mom came over and we cut the boys hair and did some lawn work.  My uncle Glen came over with a buddy of his and move the bed down stairs for us.  So I guess that we are ready for what ever may happen with Josh now.

Now it is time to start a new week.  Other then Brayden’s last ballgame of the season, I am not sure what the new week will bring as of yet.  Caleb is done with baseball, football won’t start for about a month.  Swim lessons are done.  Manda is in FL for two weeks.  Just got to wait and see when Josh’s test is scheduled.  I am sure that this will keep me busy enough!!!

Welcome to my part of the Ultimate Blog Party!  And what a great time for a party since it was my birthday last week and my oldest son, Caleb’s, tomorrow!  Where did the last 10 years go?

Welcome to those that are popping in on my blog for the first time. Enjoy and take a look around. Here is the story of me in a nut shell.  I am a 30 something, stay at home momma of three boys, Caleb (10 tomorrow), Brayden (6) and Andrew (3). I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for almost 12 years. And I strive to live my life each day for God!  The purpose of my blog started as a means to keep up with family and friends. But it has came to be so much more.  I {heart} my bloggy buddies!!! I love to read.  I love to take pictures.  I love American Idol and Gray’s Anatomy.

I love to cook and I share some of my favorite recipes on my cooking blog–Family Cooking. (I haven’t had a lot of spare time to update that lately, maybe someday…lol!)  Be sure to pop over there if you have time!
